Carbon Footprint Offset Initiative

We are proud to support groundwater conservation initiatives at Nawa City in Sambhar Lake. In July 2021, we adopted a 5-hectare area in the region which is a Ramsar site. It is our commitment that our supply chain should be at least carbon neutral, if not carbon positive.

  • We created an industry-leading sustainability program for our company and its first step is to calculate our carbon footprint.

  • Out of the many initiatives that one could take, Exclusive Gems identified the location of our initiative. This was kept keeping in mind the impact that our initiative will have on the local community.

  • Working with local stakeholders including civil society organisations, we successfully created our Carbon Footprint Offset Initaitve.

Sambhar Lake, Jaipur is a UNESCO Ramsar Site. A Ramsar Site is a wetland site designated to be of international importance under the Ramsar Convention, also known as "The Convention on Wetlands", an intergovernmental environmental treaty established in 1971 by UNESCO.

It provides for national action and international cooperation regarding the conservation of wetlands, and wise sustainable use of their resources.
